The recent refurbishment has given it a fresh look, though in some areas it seems to be trying a bit too hard, similar to many pubs today with their leather sofas and such. This can be inconvenient if you’re with a group of friends, as rearranging the seating can be a hassle. The food is typical pub fare – satisfying and hearty – but there is definitely limited options for vegetarians.

The lounge, where bar meals are served, has bee... read more I have visited The Station many times and I'm excited to be hosting my wedding reception there in a year's time. The lounge, where bar meals are served, has been recently refurbished and looks fantastic. It features plenty of tables and luxurious leather seating, as well as a separate snug area that's perfect for having a quiet drink and a good conversation. The bar includes gaming machines, a dartboard, and some tables. Additionally, there is a restaurant and a function room that can accommodate up to 140 guests, along with hotel accommodation. The food is of excellent quality and reasonably priced. The location is ideal, situated near Stonehaven railway station and within walking distance of the town center. Aberdeen is just 15 minutes away by train or car.
