First time trying here wasn’t sure as there aren’t too many photo reviews and I like to check what the food looks like before trying, was happy with everything when it arrived only took 25 mins : the salt and pepper chips and chicken were really tasty lots of flavour, the egg fried rice was nice different to other takeaways I think it tasted like sesame a bit, the noodles were tasty and I asked for no veg which they... What User doesn't like about Lin Take Away:
for more than 5 years used with lin chinese, it was very good, but standards are slipped. the last few takeaways/ deliveries were recently disposed of. the delivery was fast approx. 20 minutes ) and eating was hot, but now more than an hour and not so warm .. the other main criticism is the very noticeable reduction of the portion sizes. once my wife was sweet and sour about half the size, not sweat! and today all 3... Worst Chinese I’ve had in a long time. Take Ed warmed up and massively overpriced. Will not be going back.
I’m usually a big fan of this takeaway, my partner and I order from here pretty regularly and have done for years. Tonight, however, I ordered my usual veg curry popped my rice and salt and pepper chips on my plate and tipped my curry on. Then I noticed the prawns in the curry. A bit annoying but not the end of the world, we’ll just call them and sort it, they know we order regularly I’m sure it’ll be fine. We’ll let them know that I’m allergic to shellfish and get some fresh food out. So after questioning us as if we were lying, they sent the curry and rice but made us pay cash at the door for the salt and pepper chips. Because they sent them the first time. As if it’s my fault that they’ve just sent me prawns instead of broccoli which has been tipped over said chips. Honestly shocked at the service, not what I’d have expected after years of using this Chinese.
Lin's was awarded a Food Hygiene Rating of 3 (Generally Satisfactory) by Stoke-on-Trent City Council on 18th September 2019.I cannot find on line another visit made by the council . Food is bland sauces are watered down and tasteless over priced ,had several takeaways from them never never ever again .
Lockdown takeaway, had a five star rating?? How, we had watered down vinegary sweet and sour sauce with our soggy deep fried starters, pancake rolls not even drained of fat. Kung po which had no cashew nuts, hardly any king prawns and watery sauce. Crispy beef that certainly wasn't, sadly an expensive choice which went into the bin. Couldn't put a review on food hub for some reason so here it will have to be.
Avoid at all costs I feel sick to my stomach after my order was rotten chicken also I ordered duck and plumb sauce but recieved lemon chicken it was dish soap with rotten green meat STOKE CHINESE AVOID
