What Alan Phillips doesn't like about Cafe Museum:
I recently had lunch at this restaurant and found it to be quite basic. The oven-baked jacket potatoes seemed like they had been sitting for a while as the cheese had little flavor and the coleslaw was very disappointing. Despite it being a heritage weekend, the place was not very crowded. The service was quick, but the food seemed to be microwaved and of poor quality. There are plenty of other dining options in the... View all feedback. What Isla Simpson likes about Cafe Museum:
We visit here each week especially for their ham salad as it is fresh, plentiful and delicious! The place can get very busy and if there are groups in who have reserved tables then the salad appears smaller than if the place is quieter-other than...that the food is reasonably priced and the staff friendly and helpful and the cafe itself calm , quiet and relaxing View all feedback.

read moreThe restaurant at Hanley Museum offers a quiet oasis with good, homemade food. While some dishes fell short, like the disappointing oven-baked jacket potatoes and thick oatcakes, others, such as the ham salad and cheese and bacon oat pancakes, were delicious. The staff was friendly and efficient, creating a welcoming atmosphere even during busy times. The café is a special place with plenty of flavor, ideal for a relaxing meal after a museum visit or a shopping trip. Don't expect an extensive drink selection, but the peaceful ambiance and tasty food make it worth a visit.
