I was also informed that the BBQ Meal Deals would take two hours to prepare. I placed the order, and shortly after, I received a call informing me that the corned beef was only available for St. Patrick’s Day. I checked the website, which stated this—but only if you hold your phone in a specific way, as if you were watching a movie! To my surprise, they then said my order would be ready in 27 minutes. What happened to the two-hour wait? Since this place is located in the Stockton market, parking was another hassle. I was told that because I ordered through their website, the corned beef was only available on specific days. But wait, they’re only open three days a week! They insisted I had to cancel the entire order. Meanwhile, my card was already charged for the full amount, and they couldn’t remove the corned beef from my order (an item that wouldn’t be available for over a week). Although I could still add it to my cart and pay for it, now I had to start the ordering process all over again! This is food we’re talking about. We're on the verge of exiting lockdown in some areas, and ordering food online should be straightforward by now—most places have it down to a science. Perhaps they’ll get their act together eventually, but for now, they’re not ready for prime time. And I haven’t even touched on the quality of the food! For context, I’ve had BBQ from all over: New York City and State, New Jersey, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Columbus, Kansas City, Jacksonville, Chicago (the BBQ capital), St. Louis, Dallas, Los Angeles, Miami, Cordoba in Argentina, Baltimore, Boston, Toronto, Binghamton NY, Winston-Salem NC, the South Bronx, Brooklyn, Savannah GA, Sarasota FL, Memphis TN, and Milwaukee WI, just to name a few.
