Not only was the food good, but the service was amazing. Very chill atmosphere and nice people. If you are staying at the hotel nearby, it's definitely worth a visit.
WHY WE WENT HERE: business trip dinner had more options than the restaurant inside the Hilton did across the street THE LOOK (ON THE OUTSIDE): outdoor seating enclosed THE LOOK (ON THE INSIDE): divey pub/bar vibes really loud THE MENU: housemade soup salads Basil's signature sandwiches sandwiches chicken wings WHAT WE ORDERED: Basil burger protein style add avocado with side salad The Nico with side salad THE TASTE: decent filling but not bloating CUSTOMER SERVICE: one man show so service did lag
Basils... Tiny pub. Service was friendly and quick, but forgot my soup... Brought out the spoon to me and everything. As I was pressed for time, i just ignored it when it didn't show up on the bill. The burger is so good! So good! Perfectly toasted bread on perfectly cooked and seasoned beef! Wow of go back for the burger everyday. I wish i could have drank, they had all my favs on tap... But i had to get back to my work training. I like that the bartender knew almost everyone that walked in, reminded me of my home brewery.
Fun place to go! Great service and the food was delicious! Highly recommend the tacos.
DEFINITELY worth a visit. Cool place, EXCELLENT music (if you're into 80's and 90's rock. Relaxed with a bit of a local vibe (I'm not local but there are no bad vibes. Hands down, though, Richard is one of the top three best bartenders I've ever had; the guy just knows the crowd and reads the room. Also, excellent drinks. It's a different place, kind of an adventure, but worth a visit if you're in Stockton.
