I visited this restaurant on Thursday afternoon and tried the 3 sharing plates offer for £13.95 (available Tues-Fri 12-4pm). I chose the fish and lentil dhal with crispy fried onions, the bang bang chicken, and the fish skewers - all of which were cooked excellently and served in generous portions. I was very satisfied after finishing all three plates. The price of £5 for a 175ml glass of Pinot Grigio was also very r... View all feedback.
What hoteljunkyCheshire doesn't like about Long:
My friends and I stopped by for a drink on a Saturday evening and sat at the bar. Unfortunately, we were ignored for about 10 minutes. When we finally managed to order some drinks, they were served slowly and with reluctance. The bartender seemed barely friendly and appeared to not enjoy their job. I'm not sure if I would return to this place again. View all feedback.
Love this place. As a big group, it’s great to be seated on a circular table. The menu is fantastic. Very often, there are only a few things I fancy on a menu, but here I’m spoiled for choice! So many delicious dishes. The food is soooo good and amazing value for money. Although it’s tapas, the portion sizes are very generous. I normally like the idea of chips but don’t actually enjoy eating them. But the chips here are to die for. I’ve only taken a star off because they didn’t bring one of my dishes at all till I had to remind them. By the time it came, most people had finished eating. But I’d definitely recommend eating here.
Visited early Sunday evening with my family. We were very disappointed in the quality of food, it’s the worst we have ever had.. The sticky beef was inedible, fatty tough meat, seabass was cold tasteless, Everything was just ok not great. The bang bang chicken was lovely the garlic prawns too unfortunately they were the only decent dishes. We placed our order then 20mins later we were told sorry we have no chorizo so no potatoes with chorizo, 5 mins later our waitress told us sorry we have no calamari no char su pork!!! Understand this happens but still very disappointing. We got a really nice big booth but unfortunately the staff were sorting all the cutlery on the table next to us!!!! Not nice when you are out for a family meal all you can hear is knives forks. You couldn’t have a conversation for the noise of the cutlery it was not very good. Luckily this stopped before the food arrived. We spent £135 plus tip I have to say we were all disappointed. I messaged the restaurant to let them know they didn’t bother to reply!!! Rude! We won’t return.

The Long Bar never fails to impress. The food is fantastic with a wide range of options to choose from. The staff are efficient and friendly. I highly recommend it.
Eaten here three times and it doesn't disappoint. The staff are very practiced in service . The food was amazing. I chose three tapas for under twenty pound and that is plenty.
