During my 4-day trip to an exhibition in a suburban area south of Stockholm, I stumbled upon a small restaurant where I decided to have a late dinner. While the menu mainly featured pizzas and pastas, I opted to try some original Scandinavian dishes and I wasn't disappointed. Despite being a family-owned establishment with limited English-speaking staff, the service was excellent. I would recommend this place for its... View all feedback.
What Soccerwatcher doesn't like about Aelvgaarden:
At the first moment it doe´s not realy looks like a good restaurant. The waiters or owners has problem with the english language, so misunderstandings was a part of our 2 evenings. They refuse to cook meet medium rare, and serve it well done, with out asking the guest. The chief is only doing it in your way, if you are taking own responsability by eating it. The food all over is ok, a bit small portions, and a they h... View all feedback.
This is a lovely spot for a relaxing evening meal. The owner is very welcoming and accommodating, making us feel right at home. As for the pizzas, they are absolutely amazing! Generously sized and incredibly tasty. This is definitely the perfect place for our first dinner in Sweden!
We popped in for a beer and had a fantastic experience! Metin had a very positive attitude and vibe with customers. It was nice to feel so welcomed at a place we had never been to before, just stopping in for a beer while waiting for our transportation. It seems like you can also have dinner there. I give full stars to the service and prices.
We had a fantastic meal at this restaurant! The pizzas were delicious and the prawn on brot starter was fantastic. The friendly staff made us feel relaxed and welcome. Thank you for making our trip to Stockholm a great one!
Located just outside the Stockholm fair area, we decided to give this restaurant a try. The food was excellent and the prices were much more affordable compared to other restaurants in the area. They offer a great variety of dishes to choose from. We ended up dining here three times in one week! Highly recommend trying this place out!
I dined at this restaurant for five nights with my coworkers while working in the area, and found it to be very convenient for us. The service was nice, although the waiters struggled a bit with English, it did not pose any significant issues. They were helpful and kind, always accommodating my requests for changes in dishes. The pizza was surprisingly good, even rivaling some I've had in Italy! The fish and meat dishes were well-cooked and flavorful. However, I was a bit disappointed by the small salad buffet - they could definitely improve in this area. My colleagues enjoyed the hamburgers, but my experience was not as great - the meat patty was overcooked and the bacon was chewy. On the upside, the French fries and pasta were delicious. Overall, considering the reasonable prices and good service, I would say this restaurant is a decent choice if you happen to be in the neighborhood.
