What User doesn't like about Trattoria Biagio:
I had a great experience with the food at Biagio’s, and their bread was, of course, fantastic. You can enjoy a nice meal there at a reasonable price. However, the overall experience left something to be desired. Our group of six was the only patrons in the dining room at 7:00 PM on a Friday. I'm not sure if it's their policy to charge extra for credit card use or if it's just the uninviting atmosphere. I hope they ca... View all feedback.
First the nice things: the tablecloths were nice, parking was easy and nice, and the hostess had a nice smile. The food? The worst I have ever had, and I’ve had a lot of meals in 71 years, including three years of living in Italy. A soup of pasta and beans was a dish of old tubes with a little bit of cut-up tomatoes (it was sent back). Beef short ribs resembled boiled roadkill swamped in a tasteless goo straight out of a can. Even the pasta looked like it was scraped off I-78. When we left we drove straight to Shop Rite and got something to eat. But hey, I learned the Italian word for “inedible”: BIAGIO.
The service and food were absolutely top notch! Can't wait to go back.
Our first time in this hidden jewel in Stirling! The service was impeccable – thanks to Ron, who looked after us in the evening. We never rushed and had a relaxing dinner. We had a Scallop/Butternut Squash appetizer and Salat -both were delicious. I had the zucchini parmagiana and my husband had the seafood linguini with black ink pasta. Both were very good - excellent in taste, but both were unequally heated. The pasta was hot, but the shells and lobsters were cold, shrimp warm. My dish was good, but the pasta underneath was best lukewarm. They took my husband's court off the bill and replaced it with another court. I didn't change my court. The fresh bread was wonderful (although it would also be warm). We will definitely be back to this family owned, customers concentrated restaurant.
Amazing dinner. Carmela was brilliant and even the cook came to say hello and asked how everything was. Thanks for a great night.
