The service and food are commendable, though not extraordinary; they offer a decent experience. Notably, they have introduced local flavors, such as the new McEwan's beer, which has been very well received by the Scottish patrons. This pub is a solid option for those looking for a place to relax, especially for larger groups, as space is generally not an issue here.
I plan to try more items from the menu before form... View all feedback.
What Sudhir R doesn't like about The Crossed Peels:
I am a big fan of Wetherspoons, but this visit was a real letdown. Although the staff were all very friendly, our experience was quite disappointing. They were severely short-staffed, with only three employees present on a busy evening. The internet connection inside was also quite poor, making online ordering a frustrating experience. Additionally, ordering at the counter took a long time. On the positive side, the... View all feedback.
It’s a JD Weatherspoon and as such you pretty much know what to expect. It’s good but nothing really out of the ordinary. Very friendly staff. The food however, I had the Fish ‘n chips. That alone probably deserves 5 stars. The best Fish ‘n chips I’ve had in a long time, and I’ve had a lot. The fish was perfectly cooked and the chips were really nice and crispy. I will definitely come back!

It is simply located in the king street with a wonderful warm atmosphere and they had the log fire in the evening. very nice and friendly staff! good drinks promotions and the opposite is well maintained and organized!
Nice pub, staff polite and well mannered. Food was lovely even though it was only a breakfast. Only had a Pepsi max to drink but it had a nice flavour compared to other spoons I've been in. We'll done
A couple of stairs to the main door on the upper level (queen street) though there is a level entry on the lower level (baker street) with a lift available if required for those unable to manage the wide staircase with handrails. Both levels once inside are completely flat, no additional steps etc./all on one level, the toilets are upstairs. Drinks and food are ordered from either of the two levels, this can be done at the bar or via the app. All in the food and beverages are of great value and quality, the seating is comfortable and the lighting adequate for all but very poor sighted.
