Description
Rasa, formerly known as Inviation, offers flavorful curries but falls short in portion sizes. Some reviewers found dishes lacking in meat, while others felt the food was tasteless. Despite mixed opinions on the food, the service at the restaurant received praise for its excellent and friendly staff. Prices were considered high for the quantity of food provided. Overall, the atmosphere was pleasant, and the restaurant is recommended for those looking for Indian/Nepalese cuisine in Cumberland. With a diverse menu and good value for money, Rasa is a popular choice for both dine-in and takeaway options in the area.

My husband and I visited with our toddler for a family meal to celebrate my husbands birthday and our anniversary. They have great choices of food available for children and have a high chair aswell. They have a wide variety of dishes to suit all different tastes from sweet to spicy and the food is full of flavour. The staff are so attentive and cannot do enough for you but do not pester you. The staff were aware we were visiting to celebrate our anniversary and even arranged a slice of cake and decorated the plate (we had started eating before I thought to take a picture). All over a great visit and left very happy.
Me and my wife been to this restaurant a few times now and have eaten a variety of dishes, all of which have been wonderful! Clearly, some thought went into the ingredients. Spices in the right proportions to add flavour without being overbearing. The staff are extremely pleasant and attentive, and the service is excellent!
Went down to this place when staying at Double Tree Hilton Hotel which is only 20 min walk. Staff were professional and kind. I was recommended Gorkali Chicken which was absolutely amazing!!! My partner went for his usual favourite Chicken Madras and also loved it. I wish we lived closer, this would be my go to restaurant. Thanks for the lovely staff helping us with the menu. Hopefully we will see you soon!
We made an order from here on saturday night . Cost us over £60. The korma had 7 small pieces of chicken . My rogan josh had about 8 small bits of chicken . The lamb curry had about 7 small bits of lamb . The flavours of the currys and the quality of the meat were really good but didnt have enough meat. They were all mostly sauce . I phoned to query this today to be told that this is the normal amount for a curry. I feel for the price of them you should be getting alot more meat . The korma was for 2 kids to share and there wasnt enough for them . I wouldnt order again based on the portion sizes.
