With a menu boasting burgers made from locally sourced produce and delicious cakes, many visitors find the cafe to be a hidden gem. The friendly staff and picturesque setting make for a pleasant stop for a quick drink or meal. While some may find the prices high or the portions small, the overall consensus is that this cafe is worth a visit for a relaxing break by the lake.
The location is beautiful we stopped here as we were going swimming but I have to say we were very disappointed in the food no rolls as it was too late £6.80 for panini with cheese and some chutney is too much wouldn’t eat there again
The Loch Lubnaig Cabin deals with a lot of the smaller tour buses that pass by on the way to the highlands. The staff are always cheerful, friendly and have time to answer questions or have a chat with visitors. On top of all that they work well as a team and your never waiting long on your order. The food menu is all cooked fresh (but they do have a warm oven for those who need to rush away) with the bacon and sausage sourced from a nearby farm. The bacon rolls are amazing (ask for an extra few slices, it's worth the cost) The cakes are all homemade and never fail to dissappoint. If they have it, make sure you try the toasted banana bread with butter as well.(goes well with the flat white coffee)
We were a bit shocked when we arrived to find the campsite just a small car park. It had beautiful views right next to Loch Lubnaig but there was no power for the campervan, no shower facilities and it was right next to the main road. We decided to move to another caravan park and tried to get a refund for this one. Refund request was rejected as the website had stated what it did not have. Interesting that we did not notice these details when we checked the website since it had beautiful photographs. Moral of the story is to check for reviews in addition to website information. Nonetheless it really had beautiful view of Loch Lubnaig so was worthwhile stopping by.
On our trips to the Highlands we often stop of here . Lovely stopping point with great little cafe. What a gorgeous view. Lovely warm drink and snacks are available too. You can't walk far from the car park, but great for a short stop and nice food. Coffee and the hot chocolate was really good.
Decided to stop here today with my young son and enjoy the nice weather we had (Good Friday). Bought a juice, bacon roll and ice creams. Staff were lovely, 2 ladies and a young girl. Prices very reasonable and clean toilets. Had a lovely visit and will be back soon no doubt.
