Munchy's - Stirling

We've been here a few times and never been disappointed, just a very good local eating place. We take a run from Glasgow to Callander and this is the Puddingstone Place to go.

Wonderful value for money Scottish breakfast with haggis, black pudding, sausage and bacon from the local butcher! Can't be beaten on Callander High Street as far as I can tell!

Good selection and prices on a par with everything else. Not cheap or massively expensive. Had a lunch- ordered the kilted chicken. Service was friendly and quick. However, the chicken was disappointing. It was dry and tough. The haggis in it was very tasty though. The others in my party had the veggie burger and chicken tikka panni which did go down very well. All in all, it was Ok for a spot of lunch, but probably not somewhere I would rush back to.

We live in Callander, which attracts tourists most of the year. There are five or six local places which cater for locals and tourists. Unfortunately the majority of places do not appear to aim for return business, and will provide a moderate to poor dining experience. Not only does Pudingstone Place consistently serve excellent food with a proper home made taste. The staff are also friendly and there is always a welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Great lunch, soup and sandwiches. Good service and lovely fire on as it was a dreich day. Nice ambiance
