10/10 food pitstop, all sorts of options. Worth the 1-mile detour off WHW, go for the hot filled roll, stay for the good vibes. Decent coffee too and better prices than rest of the area.
We stumbled upon the Tearoom on the train platform in Crianlarich by chance. The space is simply but authentically decorated. The owner is lovely, and the food and drinks are excellent.
My husband wanted to try this restaurant for his birthday breakfast, but we were told upon arrival that they only serve rolls, not breakfast. I mentioned that I had seen online that they offer breakfast, but the woman was not convinced, asking where online. Just to clarify, their own website states they serve a West Highland way breakfast. After seeing the grease dripped onto the windowsill outside from the kitchen fan, I was glad we didn't eat there.
We were looking for a place to have lunch and came across the sign for the Station Tea Room. We decided to order toasted cheese sandwiches, and even though it's mainly a takeaway restaurant, there were seating options available. The sandwiches were beautifully presented and served to us. They were incredibly tasty, just like the cup of tea we ordered. The meal was also very reasonably priced. Thank you for a wonderful experience.
Such a lovely find only a few minutes off the main road stops! Quirky surroundings, great food and lovely staff. So nice to avoid the ‘brands’
Surprising good tearoom/café with a tint of nostalgia. Very good espresso and super tasty toasties. Has salads and soups. Does full Scottish breakfast. All very good
