I had the most delicious pomorodo pasta a couple of weeks ago. I keep dreaming of it, will definitely go back for more! The flavour took me back to our honeymoon on the Italian ship the Achille Lauro. Delicious!

I am unbelievably impressed with this stunning little Italian restaurant. I went not expecting much and I was really pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food, the authenticity of the menu, the vibrancy of the atmosphere and the attentiveness of the service. The deep fried focaccia bread slices are nothing short of addictive and divine and the risotto that accompanied my perfectly cooked sea bass was the best I’ve ever had. My partner’s gnocchi was sensational and the whole experience was beautifully Italian and just wonderful. We cannot wait to keep coming back to explore all that La Fiamma has to offer.
La Fiamma Ristorante Pizzeria is a charming little Italian gem tucked away in a small local shopping centre in Faerie Glen! <br/ <br/ La Fiamma which means 'The Flame ', is actually a famous Italian opera by Ottorino Respigh, and the name aptly suites this little hidden gem. <br/ <br/ They serve fresh authentic Italian dishes daily in a casual family setting and the food is great value for money. They also pride themselves on having live music and lots of daily specials to tempt the tastebuds without hurting your pocket. <br/ For example: 'Uncork Wednesdays ' pizza and a glass of wine for R95 (whilst you enjoy live music) or 'Ossobuco Tuesdays ' a delicious Milanese veal shank and a glass of Chateau Libertas for R95. <br/ <br/ Food: On our first visit, we got three pastas to share:<br/ Carbonara: bacon, egg, light cream and parmesan cheese with linguine pasta.<br/ Allegra: Slow cooked wild boar, mushrooms, herbs and a hint of garlic in a Napoletana sauce with penne pasta.<br/ Al Sugo di Carne: Cubed rump and capers in a red wine and mushroom sauce with penne pasta.<br/ <br/ The winner of the three meals on this first visit, had to be the 'Allegra ' because it is something different and was just so full of flavour! I would highly recommend it! <br/ <br/ Service: We were served by our smiling Ndebele waitress, Lisa on this visit. No complaints here, both our food and drinks arrived promptly without any issues. <br/ In summary, generously sized meal portions, good value for money and tasty food all round. We enjoyed our meal here.<br/ <br/ *Recommendation: La Fiamma is certainly a beloved neighbourhood local and I would recommend it as such. Hands on service and hidden gem status! <br/ <br/ For more, find me on Instagram, Facebook Twitter: LaurasWorldza
My experience at La Fiamma was incredible. The service we received was fast and really efficient. The menu has a great variety and both our meals exceeded our expectations.
