Local beer was spot on and one of the best espressos I’ve ever had! This place is worth the trip to Stilo alone!

C... read more Dishes we ate were indigenous to the region, all beautifully prepared by the attentive staff. Every dish was delicious and everything recommended was spot on. Cost for four with excellent house wines was around 100 euros. If this were in a big city, we wouldn't have gotten out of there for under $250.00. Highly recommend if you are smart enough to travel to Stilo and take in a true Italian experience.

We recently visited Ristorante l’Istrione in Stilo with a group of friends, and I can say it was a real pleasure. The owner's professionalism and expertise were immediately evident, but what really impressed us was his skill in craft beer production! Francesco, the master brewer, recommended high-quality beers to pair with our dishes, from red beers for meat to fresh white beers for fish. His knowledge of beer and cuisine was truly impressive! The cuisine was simply exceptional! We ordered both fish and meat dishes and were thoroughly satisfied. The appetizers were delicious and varied, the first courses were plentiful, and the second courses were cooked to perfection, as we requested. The restaurant is small but cozy, with a warm and inviting atmosphere thanks to the stone walls and rustic furnishings. We felt right at home and enjoyed a quiet, relaxing evening. Excellent value for money. Highly recommended. See you soon!
