Delicious diner food. Get the chicken fried steak, it is really big and delicious. Cant wait to eat there again. Sometimes I get the country breakfast and that always fills me up. Good coffee too.
In this episode of Blog Catch-Up, we go to Stillwater. Last October, we had dinner at Shortcakes while visiting Stillwater. All of us got breakfast of one kind or another except Ian, who had CFS. I had a bite of it, and it was pretty good. I had a Country Breakfast, which was eggs, bacon, hash browns, and pancakes. All excellent. Raegan had eggs and bacon.
Good prices decent food!. I heard a lot about this place so a friend of mine I decided to try it out. First thought walking in, it felt like a place where the 'usuals ' come have for years. There isn 't much room for seating but it works. It was a very relaxed environment despite the smell. I can 't put a word for it but it wasn 't pleasant. Ordering was quick easy, food preparation was quick (you can watch them cook). They don 't use fancy utensils more like your grandma cooking back home. The food was DELICIOUS! Would I visit again? Maybe not but it was nice to try out. The smell really got to me I wouldn 't say it 's the cleanest place...referring to the ceiling, stove etc. things that wouldn 't pass inspection in my opinion but it 's still a nice place.
Good food, good prices. A friend and I went here before a football game recently. The whole time we jokingly referred to it as 'feet cheese ' (see another reviewer 's comments about how he felt the place smelled).<br/ <br/ We were pleasantly surprised. Is it the best breakfast food I 've had? No. Does it beat the iHop down the street? Absolutely! We received good portions and the prices are outstanding (my coffee was a buck, which seems unheard of anymore). The place is very small, only about 8 small tables with a counter as well. I admit, it isn 't the most spotless place in the world as it looks like it has been around for awhile, but it definitely fits the greasy spoon moniker. I would certainly recommend it for those in the mood for breakfast food (though I believe they have other items as well).
