Cafe Marina - Stevns

I had two pieces of smørrebrød and I must say they were rather elaborate considering the price. My husband had the burger -again a very nice size portion. And all food looked nice. Taste wise it wasn’t the greatest of experiences which was fine since we just needed something to eat. However I wouldn’t come back.

We know the Stevns area well and yet we fell in the tourist trap and ordered a fried chicken with fries and a burger and ice creams at this place. Terrible experience! First, the food arrived, but forgot the fries(! and the sauces. When we approached them they were rude and unapologetic. After a while we got the sauces but not the fries so we had to remind them again! Finally we got the fries but a TINY portion. Such a disappointing experience! We then ordered (very expensive ice creams and must say we were not impressed with the quality of any of our orders however, prices are in the higher end for what it is. The staff is rude and arrogant. Stay away and support some of the many other options instead!

Bad service and the pancakes were terrible. Plus expensive. There are other options, so we won’t go there again. Too bad, because the locations is good.

The harbourside at Rodvig is very pleasant and this cafe is right in the middle . Short walk from the end of the line station. The harbour is a working harbour with a good Marina of keel boats not those ostentatious ower yachts that spoil picturesque boat harbours.

Why don 't they just put everything in a meat chopper when they do not care about the appearance of what they serve? At least it will be easier to chew. That was my immediate thought when I had my Club Sandwich. At the bottom was a ca. 5 mm thick piece of toasted bread on which appeared to be hidden a couple of slices of tomato, a little green salad and a few slices of cucumber, but it was difficult to see because it was all covered with a pile of chicken and bacon pieces. That is, several of the bacon pieces were rather small slices in lumps of three to four layers. Finally, 'thrown ' over one side of the chicken and bacon pile was another thin piece of toasted bread cut in two diagonally, and as a finish the meat pile had been given some big squirts from the currydressing bottle. My companion had chosen fish and chips. Normally I connect this with a breaded fish filet which includes rasp in the breading. However, this fillet, which seemed to be of a reasonable size, was served hidden in an indeterminate thick brown armor, which proved to have the function to hide the fact that there was very little fish hidden inside. Although we had a more reasonable similar meal here a year ago, we agreed that this was the last time. Only one positive thing; My beer was nice cold.
