The restaurant is always lively because the food is that delicious. They have plenty of seating, so wait times aren’t usually long. We've dined both at the sushi bar and in the main dining area. Sitting at the bar is particularly enjoyable because you can watch the chefs skillfully prepare the rolls!

Ordered curbside pickup and I was already running past the promised pickup time but still had to wait another 30 min to get my order after I arrived. Resturant... read more Ordered curbside pickup and I was already running past the promised pickup time but still had to wait another 30 min to get my order after I arrived. Resturant was not busy whatsoever when i was waiting. Seemed to really not have any order organization as the employee just kept shuffling around receipts and partial orders on the table. Staff was not much of a help or welcoming. Just kept making excuses. When employee confronted management about my concern she didnt seem to care and was more worried about making a phone call. Once they finally gathered my order together they packaged my soup ontop of my other food loosely in a plastic bag so that dumped all over everything because the bag was top heavy. Overall food was mediocre just another sushi bar. Would not recommend curbside pickup here.

I was getting a bit weary about finding good Japanese/Asian food in town because I was quite disappointed by some nearby competitors, but Matsu Ya is probably one of the best there is here. I honestly cannot comment on this sushi since all I've tried here is their California rolls, but their kitchen entree menu items are really good! Prices are also great, especially their lunch specials. Service has also been super swift and efficient. I only have ordered takeout at Matsu Ya, and they've developed an easy pickup system at the side of the restaurant. Maybe one day, I'll muster of the courage to try their sushi (I'm picky about sushi so not sure when that will be) but I know where to go to for my Japanese food fix!
