I had heard about this place previously, and it was EXCELLENT!! Service was great, food was amazing! Decor and overall ambiance feels like grandmas house where everyone gathers around the table to feast and enjoy each other's company! Love it! View all feedback.
What Laura W doesn't like about 2nd Street Kitchen:
It's OK. the food we got was cold and probably would have been great if it was warmer. I got the sweet blue omelet which was a pile of uncooked onions and spinach with some limp sweet potatoes. the omelet wasn't warm enough to melt the blue cheese. my partner got the bacon chicken ranch sandwich which was blah. couldn't even taste the ranch or the bacon. Honestry I can't recommend this place. View all feedback.
Was looking for a good brunch place in Stevens Point and found this place on Yelp. Fantastic place with great Wisconsin decor and homey vibes! Our waitress was fantastic the entire time we were there and was super attentive and friendly along with the young man she was training. Just an awesome lady that made the whole experience wonderful! We all had different dishes and everyone loved what they got. My wife got the breakfast dish with the very weird and funny spelling and absolutely loved it! It had potatoes, onions, peppers, cheese and she said it was awesome although she mentioned that it would have been even better with a splash of hollandaise sauce. I'll bet they would add that if you asked them! They were very accommodating about getting everything right! I had the Reuben sandwich and it was perfect! Just the right amount of meat, cheese, and sauerkraut. It could have used just a touch more thousand island dressing but I asked for some and added it myself for the PERFECT Reuben! All in all a wonderful experience with great food, awesome service, and straight forward and easy pricing on everything! Loved this place as it just exudes the friendliness and hospitality of Wisconsin! We'll be back for sure!
Stopped for lunch but didn't stop being impressed the whole time. From start to finish this was a perfect lunch stop after a morning of travel. We got there a little after 12 so maybe the lunch rush had died down, but we were immediately seated and served. There's a ton of seating with large tables so out small group of 4 easily got a spot. Would definitely be able to accommodate 6 people though at most tables. I'd call ahead if any larger than 8 though. Service was excellent. My iced tea arrived swiftly and tasty. I ended up going with the daily special which was an avocado, mushroom, tomato sandwich with a salad so light and refreshing!! My wife got hash browns and the Reuben soup which was to die for! So tasty. My sisters boyfriend who is a harsh critic of burgers said his burger was excellent. 5/5 would stop for breakfast or lunch!
The food was well-priced for the amount that you get plus it was fantastic! The aesthetic with different wooden chairs was cool. Our server, Joyce H, was extremely friendly and attentive. Highly recommend this to anyone looking for breakfast/brunch in Stevens Point!

This cafe was exactly what we needed after a morning tour of the city. The fare was light and delicious and very reasonably priced. The menu had a little bit of everything and was easily able to satisfy our group of four. The service was quick and friendly, everyone had a smile on their face and seemed to enjoy their job! There are very cool Knick knacks to visually enjoy with you dine such as a bicycle and a ton of old photos. Street parking.
