I really dislike writing negative reviews, especially as I don't want to discourage any small business owners. However, I feel compelled to share my experience here. Unfortunately, the quality of the fish in our rolls was among the worst I've encountered in my life. Having enjoyed sushi 3-4 times a week for several years, I was truly disappointed. If you're not an avid sushi eater and aren't familiar with what good—or even decent—sushi tastes like, then you might be fine here. For those who do know, I would recommend looking elsewhere. For what it's worth, most of the chain sushi places in Sterling/NOVA haven't impressed me either; I haven't found a standout option yet.
I’m reviewing the new website! The ordering process is straightforward, and the menu is very user-friendly. Payment options include cash, card payments processed by the delivery driver, and the option for the restaurant to call you for your card details. I appreciate these choices because none of them store your card information on the website, which helps protect against potential breaches. Overall, it was a great and seamless experience.
I shared a casual lunch with my wife at Miyama. While she wasn't very keen on sushi, she enjoyed the chicken dish immensely. Being adventurous with my choices, I ordered both a familiar dish and something more unique. This restaurant is both approachable and a true hidden gem. I cherished the experience, feeling whisked away to a distant place while still connected to home.
Miyama is undoubtedly the finest sushi spot in Sterling and possibly all of NOVA. Every dish is fresh and delicious, ensuring I am never disappointed.
A favorite of mine for an early or a late lunch-the value can't be beat! The sushi at Miyama is the standard by which I rate any other. The lunch special at $9.95 for 2 rolls or the $12.95 bento box that includes soup and salad are great value for a light but filling lunch. Because the restaurant is right up the street from my home I'm a regular and always warmly greeted and taken well care of by the owners. Note: they close for an hour or two between lunch and dinnertime.
