Meerlust Wine Estate - Stellenbosch

We were so fortunate to be able to have a private wine tasting. It was an absolute pleasure to be there. Stunning surroundings and great service.

Iconic SA winery and a big draw for wine fans. Unlike others there is no food or cafe so its all about the wine. A rustic relaxed visit, knowledgeable and friendly people with a warm comfortable atmosphere Anyone knowing Meerlust will love the authenticity of this visit.

5 stars for the wine. The wine tasting experience is good but it’s not a scene: basically you come for a quick inside tasting, you buy or not buy and then you leave. I think they would do well to glamourise the experience but I guess that won’t happen until the owner/wine maker changes. But honestly can say the wine is exceptional and prices at the farm are decent.

We had such a fun morning at Meerlust. The woman who said that was creepy, sure, that helped! Probably some of the best wines of South Africa, the tasting was great I am generous portions!!

Brilliant visit to Meerlust. The wine is exceptional. The visit, very friendly. Carol was brilliant, very knowledgeable and so friendly. She made us feel at home. Worth a visit.
