I've been following Mr. Jardine's culinary journey around the Cape for over a decade now. I miss the passion and attention to detail that once characterized his dishes. The hake dish I had was disjointed and instead of being harmonious, it felt confusing. I heard he has a project in Cape Town, but after this meal, I'm concerned about the future of this restaurant here in Stellenbosch. Some of the other dishes were better, but overall, it didn't quite meet my expectations.

The oysters, liver pâté, sirloin steak, hake, and wine were all superb. Chris’s service was impeccable and a major factor in our decision to stay. Food: 5/5, Service: 5/5, Atmosphere: 5/5.

We also enjoyed a fabulous lemon cake for dessert. This is likely the best dining experience we've had in Stellenbosch. Service: Dine-in.
