This restaurant is truly spectacular and one of the best dining experiences I have ever had. Chef Judgeard is a master in the kitchen, creating innovative and creative dishes that blend traditional with modern flavors. It was a great dining experience and definitely a must-visit when in Franschhoek.

When you find yourself in Franschhoek, a visit to Arkeste is a must! I have known Chef Richard for a while now, and his passion and understanding of food and flavor always impress me. Richard honors the culinary traditions of the past while embracing the innovations of the future to create a truly unique and exceptional dining experience. As I sat in his restaurant, enjoying everything from the wine and service to the presentation of the food and the cozy, lively atmosphere, I was reminded of why he is still considered one of South Africa's top restaurateurs and chefs. I can't put it any other way - Richard's food brings me immense joy and leaves me completely satisfied. During my visit, Chef treated us to a new dish he is testing: Silverfish glazed with lacto blueberries, spinach, mushrooms, crisp herbs, and Beurre Rouge - without a doubt one of the best dishes I have ever tasted!
