The country-fried steak was so small that it hardly seemed worth paying for. It looked like they had run out and only had one order, which they split between the two of us. It was barely half the size of my palm. The home fries weren’t fresh-cut potatoes; instead, they were just small frozen precooked pieces. Given the prices, I expected much more from the meal. This was my second disappointment with them.
The pork plate came with a very small amount of pork. The macaroni and cheese tasted like it was from a Kraft boxed mix. The flounder sandwich was supposed to have no tomatoes and extra pickles, but instead, I received it with tomatoes and no lettuce. The French fries were the cheap, shoestring variety. Overall, I would say it wasn't worth nearly $40. On a positive note, both the flounder and pork had good flavor.
This charming little restaurant is family-operated and provides a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The food is fantastic!
