Came at 10:20 a.m, 10 mins before the breakfast special was over. Got served immediately order at 10:26 asked for the breakfast special got it at 10:32. Half way through my breakfast ordered a cheese nip that arrived before I could finish my breakfast. After placing our order for 4 we waited over an hour and still no food. When I asked how much longer she said there just waiting on the two breakfast meals we ordered for supper. I then asked please bring what's ready then the kids can eat. She then came back and said only the breakfasts were ready and they didn't even start on the kids food. I really enjoy this location in Salisbury. The staff here seems to be very consistent, which is not always the case in restaurants. Yesterday, I tried the veggie skillet and it has quickly become my favorite breakfast option at this Sals location.
Do not let exaggerated reviews deceive you. I visited this restaurant for breakfast this morning. My order was taken promptly and my food was served within 10 minutes. I ordered the breakfast special, which was delicious (this is not a fancy 5-star restaurant, it's a diner) and presented neatly. The prices are reasonable, the staff is very friendly and attentive, even during busy times. I also tried their Wafer pie, which was sweet, soft, and delicious. The Red Velvet cake could use improvement, but that was the only flaw. I have visited many Salisbury Houses in Winnipeg, and this was by far the best service and food I have experienced at a Sals. The management is great and the staff is wonderful.
