Contribute FeedbackTahk restaurant in Steamboat offers a unique dining experience with high-quality fish and fabulous flavors. The Omakase bar is highly recommended, while the restaurant also provides a beautiful setting for delicious meals. Despite some service issues and high prices, the sushi and other dishes receive praise for their taste and execution. The atmosphere, sake list, and attentive servers all contribute to a great dining experience. While there are mixed reviews about the boss's attitude, the overall consensus seems to be positive. Whether you're a sushi enthusiast or just looking for a special meal in Steamboat, Tahk is worth a visit.
Great experience sitting on the bar. the food was excellent!
In the sushi bar sushi cook was gedimt and offered me taste of everything I asked. fish was very fresh and divine. I'm back.
Some of the best sushi I've ever had! an amazing list of fresh fishing! definitely back! first experience try uni, and so many toro options!
Best sushi in the mountain region! must stop for sushi lovers while skiing in steamboat.
Sushi was good for being located in the mountains. Variety a little lacking (salmon on a 1/4 of the dishes it seemed , but I would have gladly went again. The chef/owner though is extremely rude. He belittled me because I was having a conversation when he went to say what a fish was, because apparently, I was expected to know exactly when he was going to present the next course with my telepathy. I was tempted to walk out (to say the least, but I looked past quite possibly the most belittling treatment I received since I was a child. I was the only patron who didn't douse his creations in soy sauce. On top of this he didn't explain anything really (not that I care, but I could tell you he lost the over on two NFL games that night, as the only thing he did talk about was his gambling losses. In addition to his rudeness, for a $400 bill for two people (550 with tip, the server was timely with drinks at least, where i'm buying food after because i'm still hungry, the chef doesn't discount anything, thank you, or say anything remotely nice to try and get you back. Sad really, because the chef/owner definitely knows what he is doing, but he is such a terrible person. At least my money went to his bookie.
