The brisket is delicious and had just the right amount of fat and char. Their ribs are fall-off-the-bone delicious and their sausage is smoked to perfection, it has that perfect snap and tons of flavor. What User doesn't like about Edee's Shack:
Ive had way better bbq. Prices are way too high. You'll pay $20 a person with tip while drinking sweet tea. If you want to hold a conversation with others avoid Saturday night karaoke. View all feedback.
Ribs were great, sauce is the boss. Banana pudding was excellent!
Ribs were ok, but I urine the ribs around the amount of soak I don't have to slather. not dry, only smokey blush. chopped pork was quite similar; not fat as some have checked. if she sat her meat, then she happy brunswick was too much red paprika too sharp, I expect) had exactly the consistency that should have a pot with interesting black pfeffer nuance. but the extreme heat has shut me down and not finished. my dog still drinks water and I warned him, but he insisted. all in all, others can give a chance, but for price was not impressed not terribly that they just expected more of a place with excellent reviews.
I really hate writing bad reviews but when I feel like I was cheated, guess what I was cheated.I had your standard pork sandwich and coleslaw, and it was awful. The coleslaw had no flavor and somewhat dry and the pork was super dry and lacked flavor. I will say the bread was decent and butter was added.I totally get it, rising prices of goods and no one wants to work. The pork at minimum could have been better.Like I always do….Well, here I am. What are your other two wishes?
I have tried this Edee's twice. The first time I had the pork plate and was not happy at all with the quality of the meat. Sides were typical and a little on the smaller side.Decided to give them another chance and see if it was a fluke. I should have known better. Ordered the chopped brisket sandwich with fries and a drink. Total was just over $16.00. This is the first time I have ever left a resturant still hungry when dropping over $16.00 on dinner. Portion size was very small and was basically all bun with a little meat. Goor portion of fries which I guess was supposed to be the filler since there was such little brisket. The container the meal came in was about the size of a small leftover box. There really is not much customer service since you order at the counter and then go pick your food up. Basic self service type of place. The one thing that did stick out to me is seeing an employee pull his truck from the back of the building to park it right next to the door. Looks bad as the closest parking should be for customers and not employees. For the money it is not worth it.
I always wanted to try Edee's for the longest since they were open in Statham. Finally take 5 minutes after opening and give him a shot. Bought ribs, brisket...
