Southern Palace - Statesboro

Updated for dinner: The service was better than at lunch and the food was of solid quality. The included pictures were taken halfway through the meal, so they may not accurately reflect the portion sizes. The food was overall solid and offered at a very good price, especially during lunch hours. The only reason for my 4/5 rating was the slow service at lunch, particularly the 10-15 minute wait for the receipt.

The 5 Flavor chicken and Ma Po Tofu with Pork were both delicious. The portions were generous and the staff was very friendly. I will definitely be coming back.

This is our favorite Chinese restaurant in the neighborhood. The staff is consistently friendly and the food is always delicious.

The chicken teriyaki is the best I've ever had....lifetime customer.

This used to be my favorite Chinese restaurant in Statesboro, but my opinion changed after my order last night. The hot and sour soup no longer has as many ingredients as it used to, instead being thickened with a sauce and lacking in flavor. The house Lo mein noodles were also disappointing, lacking in flavor and ingredients compared to how they used to be. Our group of 6 was disappointed with every dish we ordered. I used to enjoy the food when Miss Haun was in charge, but the current management is not living up to her standards. If this continues, I may have to end my 24-year loyalty to this restaurant. This is not the first time I have been let down, but it may be the last.
