I came to this Dairy Queen location while visiting Georgia. My day was made because they have wet walnuts and the location where I am from they stopped selling them. I ordered a royal New York cheesecake blizzard add wet walnuts. Technically when making blizzards your supposed to turn the cup over at the window but they did not. What Mike Dociu doesn't like about Dairy Queen Grill Chill:
It’s hard to mess up DQ food, but Statesboro DQ can do it! Bad food and worse service. Had to order hamburger twice before they got it right. Instead of being melted cheese, the queso dip was more like paste. We were asked if we wanted the sundae right away and we said yes. It was not brought to the table, we had to eventually go get it. I've met some of the nicest people in Statesboro. Even in Dairy Queen. I often go in to sit and have breakfast. The breakfast is great at a reasonable price. The issue, sometimes is at the drive-through, and they (1) forget to give you condiments, which you should not have to ask for. Just check your bag before driving off, or (2) sometime they may give you fries, though you asked for onion rings. (3) Breakfast is over at 10 am. So when you get there at 9am, they should not be out of grits. But the place is good, clean, and the food is delicious. There's a lady that works there that keeps the Z-Generation on their feet, and she shows what hard work is.
Some days you just have to have a Blizzard for supper! Our favorite is the Royal New York Strawberry Cheesecake. The staff at this Dairy Queen is absolutely amazing and always friendly.
They were busy, and we thought great are fries should be hot....Fries were cold.
Have been in this drive through line 30 minutes already on a Monday night. There is no excuse for their service to be this slow! It seems like they intentionally hold service until they close and turn off their lights so no one else will enter their drive through. I get it. But the people already in line have to just sit
Lena the manager rocks!! Super nice and attentive. Wife’s fry’s were cold and we didn’t even complain and she had hot fries to us in less than a minute just because she saw the look on my wife’s face. She could give customer service lessons to many restaurants we’ve been to that are a lot more “high class” than DQ!
