Probably one of the few or probably the only Korean restaurant in Staten Island. Great food, a little over priced but if you're looking for a different experience when it comes to dining or different type of cuisine check madang out. The owners were also really friendly and made sure we understood the menu. View all feedback.
Madang is likely one of the only Korean restaurants on Staten Island, making it a unique dining option. The food is delicious, though a bit pricey. If you're in the mood for a distinctive culinary experience, I highly recommend checking it out. The owners are also very friendly and took the time to ensure we understood the menu.
I’d love to keep this place a secret, but the food was so exceptional that I just had to share my experience. It's perfect for food lovers or anyone with a taste for the exotic. The atmosphere is pleasant, the service is outstanding, and the food is probably the best I’ve ever had. We tried the beef, pork BBQ, and black goat soup, and dinner for four came to about $100, which was definitely worth it. Don’t let the location mislead you, and try to avoid that Manhattan snobbery—this is truly a gem on Staten Island.
We arrived right when the restaurant opened, unaware that the Korean BBQ section doesn't open until 5 PM. However, the staff kindly permitted my group of friends and me to sit in the BBQ area and enjoy some BBQ anyway. The entire team was very friendly and respectful, providing great customer service. I wholeheartedly recommend this place if you're a fan of Korean food!
Not the best, can't compared to Korean town, but the food is decent, service are great, wish they improve on there starter dishes, pretty much all vegetable, need some fish. There spicy beef tofu is good, bibimbap with beef, the fried chicken, pan fried squid are all good, the BBQ is also pretty good.
Super surprised about this korean restaurant on the island. Came here for dinner and was pleasantly greeted. The place wasn 't that crowded around 6pm and then started packing up later on the evening and it was only a Wednesday night! We had the complimentary dishes as all korean restaurants give, wish there was more of a variety and had more interesting textures most were just the regular kimchi or fish cakes. The tables are a bit too small for that many 'plates ' on the table. They don 't do BBQ on weekdays, but they cook it in their own kitchen to bring out. I loved the kalbi and the samgyupsal def excellent quality meat. The casserole with kimchi and dumpling was a bit normal nothing too special about that, and it was pretty annoying that they had the big portable burner that they took out to put on the table. I was disappointed about the kimchi pancake it was way too oily for my taste and seemed like it was fried. Not much kimchi taste, just a lot of oil. All in all, the meats were def the stars of the meal.
