Mad Mario's is delicious! I went with some friends while camping in Payson for the weekend. Everything we ate was amazing and Mario was a real hoot! We enjoyed the chill vibe and eating outdoors meant we could bring the dog (who also loved the pulled pork). Also, the quality of bread on the sandwich was outstanding! View all feedback.
What Wade N doesn't like about Mad Mario's Pit Stop:
Food was good not great. The owner is an absolute gem, very friendly guy and seems to know his stuff. This food trucks it's located right off the highway. I ample parking. Clean area and tables with a cover. View all feedback.
Trying new food on way home, stopped by here was not sure at first whether we were going to stay, but decided to stay anyway, glad we did. The food was delicious and we were all blown away. The flavors were on point and kids and hubby wanted more. I wanted a pulled pork sandwich to go lol. We will definitely be back....and there are bathrooms available.
Mad Mario's location is now across the street from the Steve Coury Ford Dealership. It is no longer next to a bar. Look for the Steve Coury tire and lube. And Mario's is next door. This is a small trailer set up with outdoor, covered seating. Very special experience. Definitely get the brisket burrito. And get here ASAP. Cuz you never know when Mario is going to move on to his next big thing.
Great food, great service. You will leave full!!! BBQ is amazing. Breakfast is the best.
Very good BBQ. A nice smoke on the tender meats. I love the brisket breakfast burrito. The sides are great! Only complaint is I always have a hard time spotting the place! It kinda blends in as you drive past. Keep an eye open for the Spur Bar right next to Mario's.
My fiancé and I stopped here on our way home from Show Low, after we saw 5 stars with 39 reviews we couldn't resist! We could not be more happy with our food!!! I had the brisket plate with coleslaw and cowboy beans, and Ryan had the pulled pork sliders with potato salad and pasta salad. The brisket was melt in your mouth tender and the sides were delicious. Ryan finished his whole plate of sliders and sides. The price was great for both of our plates and sodas it was $23 and some change. Overall, I STRONGLY recommend Mad Mario's!! Not just for the great food but also the opportunity to chat with Mario himself!
