Hotel located in the center of the city, 10 minutes from Lucerne by car. Access by vehicle is easy and the hotel has free spaces reserved for guests. Room full... read more Hotel located in the center of the city, 10 minutes from Lucerne by car. Access by vehicle is easy and the hotel has free spaces reserved for guests. Room full of charm and well decorated on the theme of pastry, charlotte. The bedding is very comfortable, however the pillows are much too thin. The bathroom is beautiful and functional but the foldable shower cubicle makes everything leaky and the water passed underneath, quickly flooding the surrounding area. The rooms are very well soundproofed. One of the two bulbs in the main lighting in the room was broken and after a complaint it was replaced. It's a shame that there is no coffee machine or kettle available in the room or in a common area for guests... However, bottles of still or sparkling water are available free of charge. Negative point on communication. Booked at the beginning of January, I was informed by message just a few days before arrival (after the free cancellation period) that the restaurant/bar hours are different (open until 8 p.m. instead of 11:30 p.m. as indicated), this who changes our plans at the last moment. Likewise, this message indicates the opening of breakfast at 6:30 a.m. and when we arrive we are told 7:30 a.m.... We also discover that due to the low season, breakfast is no longer a buffet. Lots of things we would like to know BEFORE booking so we don't feel cheated. Regarding breakfast, there are unlimited à la carte orders. You have access to the bakery/pastry shop adjoining the hotel to choose one or more specialties for free in addition to what is offered on the menu, which is already very generous! As for the quality of this breakfast, it's just EXCELLENT!! We are big consumers and honestly everything was really very, very good, fresh, well presented, a treat! Clean spacious rooms. Comfortable bed. Plenty of breakfast choices. A bakery next door/annex so very easy to find take out breakfast if you’re on the move. Beautiful lakeside walks. Amazing coffee and mulled wine. Chose the schnitzel with vegetables which was delicious. Everyone serving was attentive and friendly. A great decision to stay two nights. Located close to the station 5 minutes walk so very convenient location. Highly recommend.

We w... read more My 5 year old son and I spent 2 nights there during our holiday trip. Welcoming and friendly staff. Speaks German (of course) and English, a little French. We were satisfied with our stay at this hotel. Peaceful place. Rooms: Themed rooms, nice decoration. Comfortable bed. Cleanliness. Bottled water available. Walkability: Quick and easy access from the station. Food drinks: The breakfast is not bad and varied. We ate both evenings at the restaurant, average price and appetizing menu. Dishes for children. However, be careful if you have ice creams for dessert, they are very filling, even those for children.
