The Grumpy Minnow Pub
Description
On this Site, you will find the comprehensive menu of The Grumpy Minnow Pub from Stanchfield. Currently there are 56 meals and beverages available.
Perched on Rush Lake, the Grumpy Minnow delivers hearty, inventive comfort food with standout chicken wild rice soup, memorable sandwiches (artichoke, chipotle) and a famed carrot cake. The lake view and varied menu draw crowds; service is generally friendly but drink quality and kitchen consistency can be uneven. Fried items and fries are hit-or-miss, and some fish sandwiches feel over-breaded. Expect a casual, bustling atmosphere, occasional waits, and a small hospitality charge added to the bill.

The artichoke chicken sandwich was the most delicious and messy sandwich I've ever tasted! You definitely need a fork and knife for this one, but it's absolutely worth it! View all feedback.
What Maxim Hurwicz dislikes about The Grumpy Minnow Pub:
NEVER order the walleye fish sandwich at the Grumpy Minnow. Under the breading is a very skinny bit of fish. It looked Ok at first but it turned out to be all breading hidden under a big piece of lettuce and a couple tomato slices. I feel cheated. Not only that, I ordered the walleye dinner and they brought me the walleye sandwich by mistake. Wheelchair accessibility: No problems with wheelchairs. The whole restaurant... Closed for good. It's over now. Goodbye! Farewell! Adios! Just adding a few more characters for my public service announcement.
The customer covered the bill, so I'm unable to share the price of the burger. However, I can say that it was surprisingly impressive for a small neighborhood bar. I would definitely suggest coming in for a few pints and a double meat burger after a round of golf.
For our entrees, my brother had the Hangover Burger, which includes an egg, hash browns, and bacon, but he chose a vegetarian patty. My mom went with the Cuban sandwich and fries, my dad had the Grumpy Pulled Pork with chips, and I selected the salmon once more. Everything was absolutely delicious. My salmon was fantastic, and make sure you don’t skip the dinner bun—it was the best bread I’ve had in ages. The chips were just as good as the fries, so you won’t feel like you need to upgrade. Overall, the wait wasn’t an issue at all, and even if it had been, it would have been worth it. I highly recommend this place!
