Great place to stop in St. Simons if you want upscale food. Service was excellent, made you feel like part of the family. Food was superb, however portion size was a little small for the price in my opinion. For example, the menu said the salmon came with asparagus but when the plate came out it was literally one stalk of asparagus cut in half... the bacon wrapped scallops were the best I've had. I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant for a romantic evening based on reviews. I requested a private corner but ended up next to a loud bachelor party. The recommended bottle of wine was a screw top and my $38 Rib eye was only half edible due to gristle and fat. However, the Alfredo and pear and squash stuffed noodle dish were tasty. I love everything about this place. The menu, the nice staff, the wine card, the great music... But if nothing else order the dulce de leche crepes. It is a show at the table and one of the best desserts on the island.
My husband and I love Del Sur. They have an original menu that's unlike anything else on SSI. We love their wine menu, their empanadas, the salmon, tuna, flank steak, and pork chop. Also, they have espressos which are hard to come by on this southern island. Del Sur never disappoints, give it a try!
As always, Del Sur doesn’t disappoint and exceeds expectations! Went this morning for a good New Year’s Eve brunch and what a way to end the year! Food and service on point and beyond. Can’t wait to come back!
Great service, delicious food! The owner/chef Alberto made sure the food was prepared the way I had to have for my health needs! We enjoyed sitting outside to enjoy the nice ocean breeze!
The short ribs were great and rivaled any secret homemade recipe... chicken Marsala was prepared the way it is supposed to be... and will ruin you once you go to another restaurant and it is not prepared in this manner! Portions were perfect and service was on point!!
