Really didn’t enjoy my birthday here was really disappointed. Firstly they didn’t have the Caesar salad so I had another recommended option the wedge salad which wasn’t that great. Secondly the lobster ravioli wasn’t to my liking I didn’t even eat it. lastly we had to pay cash we had on hand because I forgot my card rushing to make the reservation so didn’t have it physically with me. We were visiting Rochester for the first time and were just wandering around the city. When we came to the restaurant as we did not have reservation we couldn’t be seated, it was Friday night and the restaurant was full. We were standing on the street next to the entrance and we were trying to figure out where to go. The owner came to us telling that they could find a table for us. This was so sweet and kind, we could not thank him enough. Food was delicious and we had a great time. Recommend!
I walked in I told the host I had reservations and he asked quote “for here” As he looked at me up and down as if I didn't belong there

Pane Vino on the River is a Rochester favorite. Reservations may take a few days or weeks to get the prime time and table, but it’s worth it. Free valet parking is outstanding! This time, we had a family of five in the back corner private table. Started with the Sautéed Calamari. It was so tender and perfectly cooked. By far the best we’ve ever had.
