Amazing wait staff, delicious food and cocktails, however the kitchen did seem a little slow, even though it didn't seem slammed. We got the calamari for an appetizer, which was tender, crispy, and delicious. For dinner I had the fish fry, and got to taste the lamb gnocchi and perogies. The lamb gnocchi was very good, and the gnocchi was soft and tender. However we kind of struggled to find any actual lamb meat in th... View all feedback.
What Emily P doesn't like about Lento:
Disappointing to say the least. Found multiple bone fragments in the rabbit rillettes, and the venison I ordered med-rare came out full rare and cold in the middle. Irish coffee tasted like it had no whiskey whatsoever. This place needs to do way better for the prices they charge. View all feedback.
Went for our 10th year anniversary. Food was wonderful Trout with Spetzle was great, oysters were wonderful and fresh, venison sausage was superb. Portion sizes just right. Nice wine list! Service was very good. Ryan was very knowledgeable, good waiter… there when you needed him. Offered his knowledge but was not pushy or upselling. One of the liquors was out that my wife ordered and a woman bartender with a charming accent offered a suggestion that proved far better than what my wife initially offered. Nice atmosphere, not too noisy, easy to chat without having to yell or say “what” all the time… we will return.
After walking down a dingy carpeted subterranean hall, enter Lento, and experience an embviance that you will find in the best restaurants in the best cities anywhere. The decor, the expert service and the raw bar exude cool bistro.
We had a wonderful meal! It was well timed, never feeling rushed. Oysters and shrimp were delicious. I have a milk and soy allergy and they were very accommodating, taking time to walk me through options available. Overall a great experience and looking forward to returning!
I had read some sub-par reviews regarding price and portion size but after dining here I must disagree. While not on the cheaper side of Rochester dining, neither of those grievances held up. I would never consider myself a raw bar connoisseur but he oysters and shrimp were delicious. I have to specifically mention the gnocchi and calamari, which were amazing. I've never had fried lemon slices and they added a whole new dimension to the calamari. A few minor complaints did not detract from our 5/5 experience.
We are longtime patrons who arrivedfor our first post-pandemic visit.we ordered a variety of starters including a mussel in a cider/ cream sauce; fried calamari with a cream drizzle: and their wonderful focccia with three spreads. All were unusually prepared. I tried a vegan cabbage roll with lentils, spaghetti squash and tomato sauce. Others had pumpkin ravioli, Spanish octopus salad, and soup. Service was friendly and helpful. A very pleased crowd in a dining room that was properly distanced,
