What User doesn't like about La Table des Bains:
Fina... View all feedback.
I and my wife had our breakfast and dinner buffet when we stayed in the hotel. pretty good decisions. recommended.
We were a little underwhelmed to hear that this hotel had a buffet restaurant instead of a la carte, but in that did the buffets were great. the main course is in any case not really a buffet, they cook the meat for them. that was the hunting season and I hesitated between roe deer, wild boar, pheasant, hare and deer. They suggested that I have a small piece of everyone what was a great idea! all the meats were premium quality (sty, tender) and perfectly cooked. the sides were also very nice. also the starter and cheesebuffet were very nice, and that dessertbuffet. at the end, so much we enjoy fine eating, this was actually a very nice and better experience. the room was also cozy and the price was actually very reasonable.
We ate here two nights and were quite happy with the food. The cold bar is extensive and the second night we stuck to it along with the dessert bar. The hot entrees were OK, but after trying them the first night we decided it...wasn't worth the extra cost. It must be said.that the desserts were exquisite.
The quality of the food is really good not exciting but solidly good and satisfying. I love the poached Norwegian salmon and the soup and croutons in particular. The atmosphere is posh but comfortable and relaxed. If you can, find/book a table by the...bay windows and enjoy the mountain view.
Had dinner and lunch. Wonderful service, nice selection of hot and cold food, everything is very fresh. Will be back!
