Our visit to the restaurant was fantastic, as Hazelwood never disappoints! The food is excellent and incredibly creative. We also brought along new friends who absolutely loved it. We had a minor issue with a delay in our meal, but our server and the manager were more than accommodating. This is one of the reasons why Hazelwood excels in customer service. View all feedback.
What Marshall Bazán Quevedo doesn't like about Hazelwood Food Drink St. Louis Park:
The service was slow. The chicken salad came on a regular hamburger bun which was disappointing. For the amount of chips, the plain plate (no garnish to jazz it up) and a regular ole hamburger bun for the price was ridiculous. Last time I was there the kitchen ran out of corn beef. I do not think I'll be coming back. View all feedback.
I had lunch with my family today and it was a lovely experience. The restaurant has a charming atmosphere and the service was outstanding! I always enjoy visiting whenever I get the chance. It tends to get quite busy after work, so I recommend lunch on weekdays for a more relaxed visit. It's also a perfect spot for a date night with my husband, where we can enjoy delicious food, attentive service, and refreshing cocktails.
Hazelwood is a great place to enjoy a terrific meal at a good price point. Has warm aesthetics. Terrific service! Music was a bit too loud for ease of conversation. The only issue of contention was the seating assignments. Our reservations were for 4:00 pm on Valentine's Day. At the time of our arrival, the restaurant was not full. We were seated at a table for two, along a wall of several tables for two, at the first table. There was a couple already seated at the other end of the row. But, several times, the hostess would bring two guests and seat them at the table next to us, when there were approximately 7 empty tables open between us and the other two guests at the end of the row! This seating arrangement was very awkward for both the new guests and us. The first two groups of guests, who were brought to the table next to us, requested a different table elsewhere in the restaurant. Again, the restaurant was not full at that hour! The third set of guests accepted the table right next to us-again, even though there were the 7 empty tables along that wall! The next couple was seated next to that couple. Again, there were 6 tables open between them and the end table in the row. With only 12 inches between the tables, we were in each other's conversations-not private. Not what I had in mind for our Valentine's Day date night. Of course, eventually these tables would be filled and all of us in the row would be next to each other and overhear conversations. I get that. But, I wondered why the hostess didn't stagger the table assignments???? Especially when there were other open tables!

We visited to celebrate our 10th anniversary and we're not disappointed. Stellar service by Diana who effortlessly juggled a couple of large tables of teenagers alongside ours. We wanted for nothing and she made some terrific suggestions on food and wine that elevated our experience that much more. We both had the smaller cut of prime rib with gouda hashbrowns instead of mashed- highly recommend. Sides of perfectly cooked asparagus and sautéed mushrooms were the cherry on top. Bread pudding dessert shared was the perfect ending- like being wrapped in a big fuzzy blanket, it was the ultimate comfort food for a chilly and windy evening. Another excellent meal and experience from the Hazelwood!! Both back and front of house always bring their A-game. We feel incredibly lucky to have this place in the neighborhood. Cheers team!! You made our night a special one. ?
Food was very good. Highly recommend the rotisserie chicken sandwich. Wasn't a huge fan of the homemade, gourmet-type tots. They were strangely mushy inside. Cocktails were tasty, service was speedy. We were there for lunch on a Saturday, and it was quite loud. Will eat there again.
