Visited on a Saturday in July and the line was outside but went quickly, no available seating but we took our ice creams to a bench closer to the beach. Their soft serve wasn’t available when we were there, I’m hoping that next time we visit we can try it because their menu board had some crazy flavors. What BloodyEmberz doesn't like about Cabanas:
They wouldn’t put a kids scoop on a sugar cone because it “would break” serve me an ice cream in a cup, came back in to get a lid, they didn’t have lids. So I asked for a drink cup to put the now liquidated ice cream in so that I could put it in my car and bring it home. They charge .50 for a cup. HOW ARE YOU GOING TO CHARGE FOR SOMETHING THST SHOULD COME STANDARD WITH MY ORDER. I will never be coming back here again... View all feedback.
They have Superman and blue moon ice cream. 5 stars for flavor alone!!!
Edited: The owner responded to the review and for now we are satisfied. We do not request a refund and the willingness to correct the lack of communication and training their employees already seems enough to us. You didn't find my card payment because I used my spouse’s card!!!! Tks HOW TO LOOSE CUSTOMERS OVER PENNIES Like someone already said here: “Poor customer service, repeat customers: We are local, come here quite a bit and give recommendations to others. Really unfortunate. If only some business understood what the true value of respecting their customers really meant.”. We live in St. Joseph and today my spouse and I ordered two ice creams. When we seated we realized that we hadn’t spoon. I asked two spoons to the attendant and she said that was $0,50 per spoon tax. I was surprised but I paid them using a credit card on purpose (so what are they really going to put in their pocket after the card administrators’ fee? . HOW ARE YOU GOING TO CHARGE FOR SOMETHING THAT SHOULD COME STANDARD WITH MY ORDER. I saw several customers holding spoons and I was wondering if everyone paid for their spoons or was I the only idiot to pay. Or had they brought spoons from home. My favorite sweet treat location on the Bluff. Even when they're busy, lines always seem to move quickly. Love the portion sizes too
Has multiple vegan options, they let you sample to see what you want. Very good ice cream, nice parks nearby or indoor seating to enjoy the ice cream in.
Twice a year this became a tradition for the McHugh family simply because #Cabanas makes life that much more beautiful!!! #MichiganLove
