Rupert's has the best clubhouse sandwich in metropolitan St. John's. Easily the best I have ever had. The cheesecake is spectacular too. Their one downside is that they accept cash only, so you have to plan to have money with you to eat there, but it is well worth it. It is based in CBS so a little out of the way for people in town, but the trip is more than worth it. They do tend to sell out and close for the day, s... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Rupert's Deli:
The bread was hard and stale tasting, the meat seemed like it was off and i had to throw most of it out. Tasted awful, horrible presentation. This was the worst place ive ever gotten food, a dumpster at sobeys would have been a better option View all feedback.
Great sandwich, I had the Smokehouse Club, excellent. I don't often go there because it's out of the way, but it's never disappointed. Service: Take Meal Type: Lunch Price per person: CA$10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Ambiance: 4 Recommended dishes: Smoke House Club

I went to the store today to get plate fluid and saw that Rupert was open, so naturally I had to stop in the best sand in the world (Smokehouse Club-ALWAYS) I usually have a piece of cheesecake, but today I thought maybe I'll just get a sand. While he is on the back, he makes it dance and sings to ace the base and makes me and the customers smile and love his energy. when I paid for my sand that I left a $5 tip, and every time I leave a tip, he always mutters something like he wasn't at him LOL I said happy Christmas. He ran into the kitchen and comes back with a piece of milk cheesecake for me. I said thank you so much cheerful Christmas and he said happy Christmas sweetness. I went home in the rain with a smile on my face all the time. I usually get the blueberry cheesecake because it's for dying. But that was milk from this world. His food is what you'd eat in heaven. No joke. lol I recommend Rupert’s in kelligrew’s conception Bay South Newfoundland Canada!!
This is a small sandwich and cheesecake shop, I've traveled a fair bit and grew up in Toronto and this was one of the best sandwiches I've tried. Had the pulled pork and grilled bacon and tomato. The cheese cake (blueberry) is about as good as it gets. Service: Take out Meal type: Lunch Price per person: CA$10–20
Big portions for a cheap price! Delicious and a bit messy! Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: CA$20–30
