The most important aspect of a pub is the warm welcome, and we always feel right at home thanks to the exceptional landlord and his high-quality staff. The food is perfectly prepared and served promptly. In our opinion, the food and drink here are of much better quality than the nearby Wetherspoon and offer better value. The Monday quiz is excellent and, with Steve's hosting, incredibly entertaining. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about The Haywain:
Update (April 2022): It was still quiet for a Sunday afternoon, but the service was unfortunately slow. The mega mixed grill I ordered came with only one egg instead of two, and there were no mushrooms at all. I have to take away a star from my previous review due to this experience. View all feedback.

Great atmosphere and incredibly friendly staff. Been here a few times now and always get service with a smile. TV screens dotted around for the sports fans and lots of seating for customers. Quality of food is also incredibly good with a variety of different choices at very reasonable prices. Steve and the gang have done a fabulous job! Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £10–20
The experience was quite disappointing. The customer service was lacking; we weren't greeted upon arrival and no one checked on us to see if our food was satisfactory. Plates were removed from our table without anyone asking if we were finished. The mayo provided at our table was empty, and when we requested a new one, it was also empty. The portion sizes and food quality were subpar compared to other Sizzlers I've visited. As for parking, it was shared with a supermarket. Overall, the service was strictly dine-in.
