Reviews summary
Recent visits to this charming, quaint restaurant reveal a split in experiences, from delightful to disappointing. While some diners rave about the flavorful tacos and cozy ambiance, others express frustration with subpar service and underwhelming dish quality. Patrons noted instances of slow, inattentive service despite the dining area being sparsely occupied, along with issues such as incomplete orders and bland food. Despite these setbacks, a few guests left satisfied, relishing the authentic feel and tasty offerings. As the restaurant navigates its transition under new ownership, diners hope for improvements in both service and cuisine to ensure a consistently enjoyable experience.

This was my second visit since the new owners took over. The lobster tacos were quite disappointing for the price of $19.99; they were really skimpy. There was only one waitress, and she did her best to serve us. Under the previous ownership, we were regular customers, but I’m not sure we’ll return in the future. They need to step up their game if they want to survive.
Flower is an outstanding server and a valuable addition to the new owner. The food remains excellent following the ownership change. All the classic favorites are still available on the menu, and they've also introduced some fantastic new dishes.
So much more than I expected. Awesome atmosphere, food was absolutely delicious n ample. Flower, our waitress was a joy. She certainly is professional, she handled every order n table there in a very organized n fast pace.Definitely returning as there is so much I want to try.?
Terrible place would not recommend!!!! Very rude owner and the food is definitely over priced and no flavor!!

Incredible! The jerk dishes were fantastic. The tacos and the Ruck Chicken Press were delicious. The service was outstanding. I would definitely return.
Ordered carry out this evening. Everything tasted fresh, but not as hot as we would have liked. Sweet potatoes come covered in a chimichurri sauce. Mac and cheese comes with green onions sprinkled on top. Max and cheese was a tad on the salty side, chilli lacked salt, and came barely warm. Buffalo chicken tacos and avocado tacos were good, nothing that “wow’d” us though. Service was polite and welcoming!
Our server was visibly sick. We decided to leave after just having drinks, because we didn't feel safe around her. Someone in her state has no business being at work, serving the public. It is a nice establishment, with a very unique menu. Definitely not for the picky eaters.
Visit them a little home before they return home in ghana. this was a cozy little place in saint augustine florida. that was an old house that was renovated in a juicy essage. the decoration was hung pastel with colors and art on all walls. many of the pieces were for sale. each bedroom in the ground floor has been transformed into an it area that is great if they want to meet a private one. bet burrito! that was delicious and huge. I am a cheese lover so that this burrito meets the point! the portions are unbelievable! although tasty I wish that there is more heat and taste (Ghanaian cuisine is tasteful), I believe that is why my palate was looking for more. the hospitality was amazing and I appreciate it!
I'm so glad I decided to eat here. it was busy for half a week. we were there at 19 o'clock and sat outside the parking lot. nice setup. mosquitoes were actiw when it began to get dark, so keep it in the head or bring it spray. order the Bretzel sticks with beer cheese, they get 3 to an order. the vegetarian chili salad was humble, as a double part. my child had the burger slipper of the child with a side and a drink. half price wine bottles in the night, so I chose a bottle prosecco and took the rest home. be ready to takeout boxes lol. everything was so delicious! They can taste the difference with the fresh ingredients they use. I would eat here every day if I could afford it!

Every time we visit the Crescent Beach/St. Augustine area, this restaurant is at the top of the list. We absolutely love their unique tacos. My personal favorites are the mojo pork, Chimichurri pork, and shrimp tacos. Each taco has an accompanying saucethat takes your culinary experience to the next level. I wish they hadn?t taken the dynamite shrimp tacos off the menu a whileback because they were awesome as well. If you arrive between 2:30 and 5:30, the tacos are only $2.50 a piece, which is a greatvalue. Other favorites on the menu include their drunken wet burrito and the Cuban sandwich. Last but certainly not least istheir orange cream craft soda. It is so tasty! Even though this restaurant is off the beaten path, it is certainly worth it!
Decent food, not great. The burrito i had was cold in the center and not great? Staff is distracted .. I have tried this cute little place 3 times and still have not found a dish i really like! On the bright side they have a great patio in the back andthey have Tuesday date night and wed 1/2 off bottles of wine!
Nice little hole in the wall restaurant was a bit skeptical at first but surprisingly the food was good! The staff was also friendly. If you are visiting St. Augustine you should try it. The only thing I felt was missing is they are very limited onthe adult drinks. I had the shrimp taco FYI
Food was good. Vibe was depressing. I ordered a lemonade that tasted funny so I sent it back and just got water, it was still on my bill. We won?t be going back.

What a fantastic little restaurant! The service was very friendly, and the mojo pork taco and jerk chicken taco were absolutely delicious! Their happy hour for tacos is a great deal, too!
Overall, we had a great experience dining here for dinner. Parking was convenient, although I almost missed the entrance. The service was outstanding and very friendly. We sampled the...

I truly enjoyed my experience at this restaurant. It felt more authentic compared to many other places we've visited. The burritos were tasty and fairly priced, and the ambiance was quite inviting.
Back 40 was disappointing in every way. The food lacked flavor and creativity, making for a bland dining experience. The service was equally subpar. The menu offered only two vegan options, neither of which were enjoyable.
