We absolutely love visiting this campground. We were though a little disappointed this last trip (Labor Day weekend) Because the hot tub and kiddie pool were out of order and had been out of order for a while. This information would have been nice to know on the front end. The staff is always friendly and kind so it makes up for it. Whoever is in charge of managing the property should keep the website updated on what amenities are available. You pay holiday rates but when not all the amenities are available seems a little unfair. Also they need to do better on the dog area. Absolutely no grass looks like a sandbox. Not appealing at all.

We stayed here for Labor Day weekend. I paid for a “premium” site. C101. I would not call this premium. It faces the wall of an aluminum trailer that is about 3 feet from our pad. We were told it was a back in site but that would be impossible with the trees and cars. We were forced to enter as a pull through. The sites themselves seem to be well maintained and they are fairly level. The campground is close proximity to many attractions and beach. Here’s the bad partthe staff at the front desk is dismissive and despondent. The grounds person was just as unhelpful. The hot tub and kiddie pool were “closed for maintenance” on a holiday weekend. The pool itself was absolutely filthy and looked like murky toilet water. The area around the pool was not well kept either. The full time residents don’t seem to comply with the pet rules and don’t care. Dog poop was everywhere and the poop bag stations were always out of bags. The odor from the underground sewer tank was exceptionally bad. It was so bad that we had to keep our valve shut except for when it needed to be emptied. I would not camp here again. Friendly staff and good service. Rented 3 park models and a RV site for a family reunion. Had AC issues with one park model when we first arrived but the staff took care of us immediately. Beds got mixed reviews in park models as well. Fishing pier and cleaning station with a small ramp on the intercoastal side. The pool was in excellent condition. Kiddie pool and hot tub were closed. Park was clean and quiet. Close to beach ramps and downtown St. Augustine. All in all the folks at Ocean Grove RV made our stay very enjoyable.
