Shanghai Nobby's - St. Augustine

Yesssss! A really cool bar between the beaches and downtown. My wife and I went on kind of a whim to see some bands we didn 't know that much about and had a great time. It 's a bit of a locals only vibe but that doesn 't bother me. It is small. Really small. Bar area. Pool table area and band space with a small floor. Draft beer was very good. Had some sours and IPAs on draft. Very small crowd. Service was OK at the bar. Really good live music, which they have pretty much every weekend. We had fun and will be back. What I really loved about this place is I was double charged for our beers. I decided to call the Monday after not expecting much. I called about 3 hours before they opened not thinking anyone would even pick up. The guy I spoke to was awesome and couldn 't find the charges but said he would keep looking. Sure enough, a couple of days later the charges were removed. That 's how you maintain good customers. He could have just blown me off, but now we will go back for sure.

Great little place. The bartender was great and made great drinks. The kitchen was closed so couldn't try the food. We sat on the patio until it started to rain. I usually like to include the staff's name but I forgot, sorry. If anyone knows it please comment.

Attend a party. Was a nice place. I like it there and the boss is such a nice person. Very friendly as also the staff. ??

I tried a gyro that I didn't like, but Mama Jill happily replaced it and the new one was delicious!
