I discovered this restaurant through a Google search and decided to give it a try. The food was fantastic! We ordered a Reuben on Pumpernickel bread and a Philly cheese sub. The portions were generous and the ingredients tasted fresh. We will definitely be returning for another visit! View all feedback.

The sandwiches and prices at Publix across the street are superior to those at this restaurant. The sandwiches here are bland and lack flavor, simply prepackaged meats on tasteless bread. The customer service here is also not up to par compared to Publix. The owner appears to be on the brink of losing his temper, displaying classic signs of being a rageaholic. View all feedback.

Found this on a google search and decided to try. Food was delicious! We had a Ruben on pumpernickel/rye and a Philly Cheese Sub. Portions were great ingredients tasted fresh! We definitely will be back when visiting again!
I?ve been vacationing in St. Aug for 20+ years, but hadn?t tried (or even heard of Old City Subs until today. We decided to check it out and damn am I impressed! The steak Philly was at least as good as, and arguably better than, any I?ve previously eaten. The bread was soft and fresh and the steak was ample and flavorful. Make sure you ask for the datil pepper sauce it?s awesome. The restaurant was clean, inside and out, and the employees were friendly. The prices are reasonable and the food is prepared quickly. The warm subs are wrapped in foil so they?re still warm when you get home. I?ll definitely be back (maybe for dinner tonight! .
Best Subs in St. Augustine and why: 1. Everything is always fresh (even holds up well the next day as a leftover 2. High quality ingredients 3. Not over priced 4. Good selection on the menu 5. Super friendly staff and excellent customer service Top 3 sandwiches for me is 1. Beef Dip 2. Italian 3. Tuna Salad Sub The food here brings me joy and it is much appreciated. Thank you.
Excellent local sub shop. Hot and cold sub options. Call ahead ordering and to go/eat in options all available. It can get busy at peak lunch hour, but food is always fresh and worth it. Prices are on par with what a sub shop usually is at, not cheap but not expensive I'd say it's fair. Interior is simple and has a lot of decorations displaying other local businesses. Staff is always friendly and welcoming, owner is usually around making sure everything is on point. Definitely my preferred sub shop in the area.
