It was a beautiful setting with a lovely view of the Lion's Bridge in downtown St. Augustine. The peach cobbler French toast was delicious, but the cheese grits left more to be desired. View all feedback.
What Erica Herzog doesn't like about Brunch At The Casablanca Inn:
We were just one of two tables sitting at 1:00 on a weekday and somehow our food arrived lukewarm. I gave the restaurant 2 stars because the waitress was pleasant. View all feedback.
Waiting is a bit long, but understandable for the small seat, and popularity of the place. Unfortunately we came for the first time to eat, we told the hostess how many were in our party and she told us to wait until she could sit a few more people, so we waited about 15 minutes while she looked out for people who did not seem to be around. After waiting, she came to us and told us that she wouldn't be able to put us because she was closing in 30 minutes. I have no problem with closing, but it would have been nice to know in advance so that we could look for another place after a long cold morning of walking. When we checked out the place again a few days later, we came to eat the cookies and Gravy were fantastic, the service was great and I heard the eggs Benedict were also amazing by another member of my party!
Really cool atmosphere and excellent food. I had the breakfast wrap which had so much chorizo it was almost ridiculous, but definitely delicious. Service was pretty good, and the location has a great view of the Bay. No regrets at all, and you will love it. The space is a little cramped, but not so bad you can't move. That's the only thing keeping it from a 5 star. But it's also St. Augustine, so most places are like that, to be fair.
This place had mixed reviews but I decided to give it a shot because a lot of their poor reviews were from 6+ months ago. When I first went in to make about a table, the hostess Kaycie as as rude as they come. she acted like I was inconveniencing her... Didn 't even greet us or anything. We just got a very dry rude oh many . Right off the bat... It 's a bad impression I was so put off ... I almost left. But true to being a real foodie, I wanted to taste the food! So we sat down. The waiter was efficient just also not personable... Not really sure what the deal was. I told my husband maybe we smell or something . Moving on the the food drinks. I did try their spicy **** Mary and it was good. I also ordered the cameras Benedict and my hubs got the 24 Benedict. Both if our meals were delicious, but we were still disappointed with the service and general attitude. There are SO many places to eat brunch in St. Augustine, I honestly don 't think I would go back.
It should have not star at all, the worst service ever, our waitress Alicia was really bad, I told her she forgot the silverware while I went to grab it on my own cause our food was on the table getting cold and she got the audacity to tell me she doesnt do the silverware, 2 more other people had such bad attitude when you ask them for something, I mean , I could go on and on and it's such a shame because the food was really good, out bloddy Mary's were delicious but again we were so upset about the service
Dirty silverware dirty glasses dirty walls dirty table dirty lamp on the table. Dust everywhere. Not my cup of tea. I’m surprised the health department still allows them to serve food here.
