This was a detour place as the one we meant to eat at was close post hurricane Ian. A varied menu, not much seating tho there was one table outside. It got a lot busier while we ate. My friends had versions of the hot dog, and I had the BLT and onionrings. Those were fantastic! The BLT was okay. A good amount of bacon, but I asked for extra mayo and it was a little too much. Also served on a burger bun instead of toas... View all feedback.
What Francis doesn't like about Bantam Chef St. Augustine:
Not a huge place to eat in with only 3 tables available. I had the foot long chili dog which was pretty good. The chili was on the better side I've had but I've had better sausage. Also ordered was the fish sandwich which I was told was delicious anddefinitely worth a try if you like seafood. Prices are also decent so for us this place was perfect for lunch. View all feedback.
Although they?re known for their incredible fish sandwich, I ordered a grilled chicken Philly, and it was delicious as well! The cheesy broccoli bites, fried oysters, and onion rings were also tasty. Everything is made to order, so it?s served piping hot. This Bantam Chef location is located near the back corner of the large Lightner museum. Just look for the purple/wisteria house!Don?t be discouraged if you don?t see many cars; a lot of people walk to this location and/or do takeout.
.....just ate here....had the fish sandwich..... excellent.....not some ridiculous price and little fish between the buns....this was really good!
We stopped at this restaurant as a detour since our intended spot was closed after Hurricane Ian. The menu offered a good variety, but there wasn't much seating available—only one table outside. It became quite busy while we were there. My friends ordered different types of hot dogs, while I opted for a BLT with onion rings, which were fantastic! The BLT was decent; it had a good amount of bacon, but I requested extra mayo, and they put a bit too much on. It also came on a burger bun instead of toast, which I wasn't expecting. Overall, it was fine, but next time, I'll try a hot dog with onion rings instead.
My favorite go-to restaurant in Saint Augustine. Their fish sandwich is enormous and the best in the area. They also serve an amazing bacon burger for about seven dollars, a huge fried chicken sandwich that's fantastic, and a delicious Philly cheesesteak. You really can't go wrong with anything on the menu; everything is tasty and reasonably priced. I live in town, and this is the only place I order from when I get delivery.
This restaurant is quite small, with only three tables to dine at. I tried the foot-long chili dog, and it was quite tasty. The chili was among the better ones I've had, although I've had better sausages. I also ordered the fish sandwich, which I was told is delicious and certainly worth a try if you're a seafood fan. The prices are reasonable, making it a perfect spot for lunch in our opinion.
