Not a huge place to eat in with only 3 tables available. I had the foot long chili dog which was pretty good. The chili was on the better side I've had but I've had better sausage. Also ordered was the fish sandwich which I was told was delicious and definitely worth a try if you like seafood. Prices are also decent so for us this place was perfect for lunch. View all feedback.
The restaurant is located in the Wisteria House Inn and there was no signage indicating it was there so we were a bit confused and thought we were in the wrong place. Once we got that straight however, we ordered lunch for the family. My wife and I had the fish and chips which were absolutely outstanding! If you'd like something to compare it to, picture the fish and chips **** you get at the UK pavilion at Disney, then picture it 1000 times better and half the price! That's what it was like here! The rest of thier menu had a ton of tasty burger and seafood options. Big portions and reasonably priced. Loved it here and will return to this place on our next trip to St. Aug.

This was a detour place as the one we meant to eat at was close post hurricane Ian. A varied menu, not much seating tho there was one table outside. It got a lot busier while we ate. My friends had versions of the hot dog, and I had the BLT and onion rings. Those were fantastic! The BLT was okay. A good amount of bacon, but I asked for extra mayo and it was a little too much. Also served on a burger bun instead of toast. Again, okay but I wasn't expecting it. I'll get a hot dog and onion rings next time.
Although they’re known for their incredible fish sandwich, I ordered a grilled chicken Philly, and it was delicious as well! The cheesy broccoli bites, fried oysters, and onion rings were also tasty. Everything is made to order, so it’s served piping hot. This Bantam Chef location is located near the back corner of the large Lightner museum. Just look for the purple/wisteria house! Don’t be discouraged if you don’t see many cars; a lot of people walk to this location and/or do takeout.
My favorite “go to” restaurant in Saint Augustine. Their fish sandwich is gigantic and the best anywhere around. They also have a fantastic bacon burger for around seven dollars, a giant fried chicken sandwich that’s awesome, and a Philly cheesesteak that is delicious. Pretty much anything you choose here will be delicious and add a good price. I live in town and this is the only place I order my food from when I order delivery.
