What Pawco11 doesn't like about Arcade Basile:
The food was good, the dessert was not good, I was double charged for a refill of coffee, it was such a small size cup. I could not believe being charged for2 cups!!The food is expensive enough, it was a real money grab, cheap behavior. I was so upset I will not return! Sometimes it is the little things that push you over! Plus the place is in need for renovations! View all feedback.
I live in the area and have had their Pizza several times and it is always Delicious !! Had a Club Sandwich there today and it was also good....
Went to basil’s this morning for breakfast first time going to a restaurant since Covid very disappointed. We were asked what we wanted I started two eggs oh we don’t serve breakfast it use to be the draw for this restaurant we had to settle for lunch which wasn’t even up to their old standard my husband ordered hotdog and fries wanted onion and tomato on the dog was told we don’t do that I was always told customer is always right
This resto has the least customer compare to its neighbours. There is a reason why! Even though it has the best and direct view of the water. The service is awful! The owner needs to train the staff to care about the customers! We were 2 and ordered one big plate. I told the server we are sharing but she didn’t bring an extra plate for me! She brought the food plate and put it in front of my husband!
Been there with my kids for supper. The restaurant was empty while the other terrasses were full and exciting (even my 3 year old noticed the party was definitely NOT where we were). Despite the owner being super nice greeted us— the food was a disappointment.. We ordered a chicken souvlaki plate with 2 sticks. The chicken was bland and near pink.. it wasn’t grilled as the photo promoted but seemed to be more pressed on a flat grill. The fries were boring and oily, the rice was dry and no taste and the salad (ohh god the salad), was not fresh not to mention the salad dressing was the Italian dressing from the grocery store. This is coming from a Greek restaurant? They can’t even make an effort to make their own Greek dressing. What a shame.. it really seemed like they have given up on the restaurant.. now I understood why the place was so empty. I feel sorry for the owners because I do want them to succeed.. but c’mon, change your menu and make an effort. Good luck.
We dropped by on a beautiful late summer day. We were given a choice of where to sit, inside or outside, we chose outside. For the breakfast I ordered the Lumberjack special and both my husband and grandson decided that that sounded delightful (no imagination on their part). Everything was delicious, the bacon was crispy, the sausages very tasty, the ham, okay it was ham. It came with Creton, something I love and only found in Quebec, at least the good stuff. I'm not a fan of beans so left that to my husband, he said they were good. The plate also came with a nice selection of fruit. Manon, our waitress, was very diligent but not overbearing. The next time we go, we'll aim for lunch in order to try more things.
