A really busy week but staff were able to get us in with no problem. They were also super quick to take our order. The fish tacos were so flavorful and good.

For first-timers; the restaurant is located behind the fish-and chip counter (go to the left and then back down the hall. Great spot for some hearty fish chips after playing golf. We were absolutely starving when we walked in and were seated right away, even without a reservation. The space is fairly large and although I would not call the space comfortable, it was very clean and cute. The menu had a variety of seafood dishes and I really enjoyed my fish tacos. However, the onion rings were pretty greasy and bland. We were on a tight schedule as we needed to catch the train back to Edenborough. The staff was so nice, letting us place our orders right away and getting our check quickly.

We had fried prawns and scallops for apps. Both great. Haddock full fillet and chips and a side salad for my wife and I. My son had seabass tacos. The sticky toffee pudding was so awesome! Food was fresh and delicious. Fried fish was crispy and glistening inside. I have a soy allergy and all the food was safe. Server was great. There is a to go up front too. Ambiance isn't over the top nice, but who cares with amazing food.

We came here for one reason. We were told that Tailend served the best fish and Chips in all of Scotland. That was a pretty high bar and we wanted see for ourselves. Tailend is not much for ambiance. The front of the restaurant is dedicated to take out. There was a long line of people wanting to get some take out fish and chips! When you push your way to the back, there are some tables and a small outdoor space. Comfortable and cozy, but not white table cloth! Our server, Mark, was quite a guy. He was a lot of fun and enhanced our whole experience. So, we got what we came for. A very large piece of fresh haddock with a very light batter. The fish was tender and tasted great. Not very greasy at all. We also tried the onion rings and they may have been the best we've ever had. Same light crispy batter as the fish and they were so delectable. To top it off we had the Toffee Sticky Pudding. Holy crap, was that amazing! It was. The perfect finish to a perfect meal. Best fish and chips in Scotland? I don't know. Damn good fish and chips and a fun place to dine? Damn right!
